The self-assessment tool “Control System Cyber Security Self-Assessment Tool” or CS2SAT for short is a unique application for determination of a company’s security posture in their control system environment. CS2SAT utilizes both generic and specific computing security standards to not only identify the requirements but also provide “graded” solutions to vulnerabilities associated with this complex environment. He prototyped this tool at large Water/Waste Water utilities, Electrical Transmission Companies, Government operations, and other organizations that utilize control systems that could be vulnerable to insider and outsider attack. CS2SAT is currently being upgraded by the Idaho National Laboratory to further enhance its application across a wide-range of industry and government organizations.
